A video has surfaced of some residents of Jachie Pramso jubilate after sighting a rare occurrence of hailstorm.
The Jachie Pramso community is in the Ashanti Region.
In a video shared on social media by SIKAOFFICIAL, the residents of Jachie Pramso were captured jubilating in excitement, after sighting the rare occurrence of small balls of ice falling from the sky.
Some older women and young people were captured running around as they picked up the hailstones.
In the viral video, some persons could be heard saying, “It is raining block, it is raining block, God is amazing, this is beating me, block go is amazing. It is block that they are picking like that”.
Some Ghanaians have reacted to the video saying, “camerawoman is just a noisemaker. She could’ve at least shown us what they were picking smh”.
“This never happened in the 8 wasteful years under Nana Addo, but John Mahama came p3, then boom hailstorms everywhere….Our country is healing”, another stated.
An X user also wrote, “ God please don’t let this enter Accra. I know a pastor who will brand it as heaven sickness healer block 5k cedis”.
“Not me screaming and collecting this thing from the ground at the family house in the village and then out of nowhere this “villager” called me a whooole Accra boy uncivilized all because I never see falling ice block before 😂😂😂”, one other stated.
Additionally, a netizen also stated it also happened last year at his workplace sharing a video, “This happened last year at my workplace. Usually happens when it rains during harmattan”.
“I experienced this as a child back in the VOLTA REGION but I don’t remember us picking it up, it was even beating us hard we had to hide and it melted within some 10 seconds”, another added.
