He noted that the Chief Executive Officers appointed by President Mahama are just acting for now waiting to be approved by their board so they are unable to hire people.

Yamin further promised them employment opportunities, including for their children, as well as scholarships for their children.

Speaking to the NDC party constituency executives in the Upper East Region, Joseph Yamin explained, “We are telling you that no executive will go hungry under this government… No executive will go hungry. But wait until everything is certain”.

“Today, nobody can give you jobs because the CEOs do not have power; they are all acting. Until their boards confirm them, they cannot start recruitment. Those of you with qualifications to work in agencies, when they start employing, come to us at the national headquarters, and we will secure employment for you,” he added.

He further detailed, “Your children need employment; when they start hiring, come to us, and we will help them secure jobs. If your children need scholarships to further their education and build a future, come to us when they start awarding them. We will ensure they receive it because you deserve it; you have worked for it”.

Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have shared their opinion on Yamin’s comments, saying, “It’s good to see the party leadership reassuring the grassroots. Commitment to job creation and education support is crucial, and we hope these promises materialize for the benefit of all”.

Another added, “They are all Ghanaians First before Party Matters. So yes give them opportunities once they qualify. In my opinion Yamin spoke well”.

An X user also revealed, that Joseph Yamin was the man to watch during the elections and assurance from him would help settle the grassroots, “@joseph_yammin for me will continue to be the man of the match during the elections, Assurances is what I’ve always been thinking of all along because the party base for me is shaking given the fact that almost all our gallant soldiers are now in government”.

Similarly, a user also noted that in Ghana if you do not wear a party uniform the state does not recognize you, “ Hmmm. Ghana now if you don’t wear a party jersey, the State won’t recognize you ooo. It’s the sad reality but can you fault him? Politics have succeeded in destroying in the State. If you remain neutral, find your own food. Pathetic”.

Additionally, another wrote, “ Man the way we work our asses out during 2023 to 2024. Some few individuals better not hijack the party if not those who try to sideline us we just go fold our arms and watch them do the dirty work come 2028”.
