Ghanaian Media personality Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has slammed the Managing Director of Engineers & Planners, Ibrahim Mahama after a video surfaced of him driving his older brother, President John Mahama.
A viral video surfaced last week of Ibrahim Mahama driving his older brother, John Mahama in a short drive during their visit to the affected area at Agavedzi in the Ketu South District of the Volta Region.
According to Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, if Ibrahim Mahama is a wealthy individual, he should stay in his space and enjoy his wealth.
The outspoken media personality added, that Ibrahim Mahama had no business driving President Mahama
He noted that Ibrahim Mahama driving President John Mahama does not align with any proper governance structure.
The media personality further claimed that Ghana’s have been reduced to the lowest level, and nobody sees anything wrong with it because it involves Ibrahim Mahama.
Speaking on his show, For The Records, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah stated, “You don’t have any business driving your brother we did not vote for you, If you are a wealthy individual, stay in your space and enjoy your wealth.
We know that, by all means, you will benefit from the government and exert some control, but let it not be in our faces. We don’t care—just let us have our peace”.
He further added, “Take a step back. Does it sit well with any proper governance structure that the President of the Republic is visiting a place and his brother is the one driving him? Are you people okay? We have reduced our governance to the lowest level, and nobody sees anything wrong with it because it involves Ibrahim.
“The president has not fewer than three drivers. The practice has been that, ordinarily, the president’s driver is not even supposed to be driving him. But from Atta Mills through Mahama to Akufo-Addo, they have enrolled their private drivers into the service”, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah further fired shots at President Mahama to let Ghanaians know that he felt Ibrahim Mahama was the one going to be driving him around so they officially enrolled him as a chauffeur.
If you think Ibrahim Mahama is the one who should be driving you, let us know and officially enrol him as your chauffeur. Then we can have official records stating that Ibrahim Mahama is the new chauffeur of the president. What is all this?” he questioned.
