Former Deputy Majority Leader, Adwoa Safo, has revealed that she was treated with disdain and disrespect after she was removed from her leadership position in Parliament.
She recounts how she was made to sit at the backbench in Parliament as it was the norm for first time Members of Parliament (MPs) when she was removed as Deputy Majority Leader.
According to her, former Majority or Minority Leaders are given seats directly behind the current leadership in Parliament, but that was not done in her case.
“Everybody denied involvement in the action. The Majority Whip is responsible for seating arrangements, so how did he not know that I was not properly allocated a seat?” she questioned in an interview on Asempa FM.
She recounted how her situation was eventually rectified after the NPP General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, and Deputy Majority Leader, Habib Iddrisu, intervened.
According to her, their efforts led to her being restored to a seat behind the leadership.
