A netizen has reacted to a disturbing video, of a wife caught physically assaulting her husband in front of their child, and instructing the child to record the abuse.
According to a netizen, most Ghanaians and Nigerians abroad go through this situation in the hands of their so-called women abroad.
The netizen on X wrote, “This is what most of the Ghanaians and Nigerians go through in the hands of their so-called women in abroad, very sad and terrible”.
He further quizzed the woman saying, “How can you do this to man and even make a child record ! Aborokyer3 aware3 bi! Some are going through it !”.
The video which was also shared on Facebook by Ghanaian lawyer, Chris-Vincent Agyapong has sparked outrage as social media users have condemned the woman most especially for abusing her husband in the presence of their child and instructing the child to record it.
Reacting to the video, Chris-Vincent Agyapong revealed that many men, especially those living abroad with their partners, endure all kinds of abuse at the hands of women.
He indicated that he has heard countless stories and has witnessed firsthand how some women treat their men. “It’s brutal, degrading, and downright inhumane. This video is a perfect example of what some African men go through abroad, trapped in relationships where they’re treated like less than human.”
Advising men, he noted that some women can be outright evil and will subject a man to abuse and disrespect.
“Women are not angels. They’re human, which means they’re capable of being good, bad, and downright evil. If you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself in a situation where you’re being disrespected, abused, or taken advantage of. And let’s be clear—no one deserves that.”
He charged men to learn to walk away from toxic relationships no matter the level of investments they have made in those relationships. “Men need to learn how to walk away. They need to stop romanticizing women and start seeing them for what they are—complex beings capable of both incredible kindness and unspeakable cruelty. If you’re in a relationship where you’re being mistreated, leave.
It doesn’t matter how much you think you love her or how long you’ve been together and how much you have invested. Your mental health, your dignity, and your life are worth more than staying in a toxic situation.”
He charged men to know their worth and walk out of situations in which their worth is being diminished. “Whether it’s a relationship that’s turned toxic, a business deal that’s gone south, or a project that’s no longer fulfilling, I have no problem walking away.”
According to him, many people stay in bad relationships because they fear what they might lose should they leave, “but what they don’t realize is that staying in a bad situation like this man in the video costs you far more in the long run—your peace, your happiness, your sense of self.
I’d rather lose money, time, or even a relationship than lose myself. That’s the price I’m never willing to pay.”
