Paul Adom Otchere, the host of Metro TV‘s ‘Good Evening Ghana’ political show has named some former Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration appointees on the most wanted list of the John Mahama-led government.
According to Adom Otchere, several people under the former government have been targeted in the coming days by the National Security led by the Director of Operations at the National Security Secretariat, Richard Jakpa.
His comments come as reports emerged last week that the director of special operations at the National Security Secretariat, Richard Jakpa has led about 20 armed men to raid the home of former BoG Governor Ernest Addison.
According to reports, the raid occurred on Wednesday 19 March 2025 at around 5 am at Ernest Addison’s home in Accra.
The information gathered suggests Dr Addison was home when Richard Jakpa and his 20 armed men wielding AK-47 semi-automatic rifles raided his property.
It was revealed that the National Security operatives later allegedly ransacked the house with no vault being found and no large amounts of cash were found.
Similarly, the home of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta was raided on February 11, 2025, involving a team of 12 individuals, including five in military uniforms, one in police attire, and others in plain clothes, who allegedly entered the property without prior notice or consent.
The broadcast Journalist on his show named Gabby Otchere-Darko regarded by many Ghanaians as the prime minister of the erstwhile Akufo-Addo Bawumia government who had no recognized position under the former government. The former Transport Minister, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah.
Paul Adom Otchere further added the former Minister for Communication, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Attorney General (AG) and Minister for Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame and his very own self for his activities as the Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL).
Adom Otchere also revealed that the Special aide to President John Mahama is pushing for his arrest, saying, “There is a conversation between Joyce Bawa Mogtari and Richard Jakpa which we have heard, and Joyce Bawa Mogtari was asking Richard Jakpa that ‘when are you going to arrest Paul Adom Otchere, and he is talking plenty?’, and he said, ‘as for Paul, we will get him but wait, we have to go to Addison, then we have Okatakyie before we go to Paul Adom Otchere’.”
According to Adom Otchere, Richard Jakpa has a vendetta against the former Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame and himself because whilst the Dame was handling Jakpa’s Ambulance case, he (Paul Adom) was the media man backing it with commentaries on exposing Jakpa’s involvement in the purchase of those sub-standard ambulances for the state at a whopping cost of €2.37million.
He further alleged that the Mahama administration since coming into office has been fishing through files of the Ghana Airport Company Limited to get some dirt on him.
Adom Otchere boldly stated he was certain no dirt would be found as he didn’t engage in any wrong when he was the Board Chairman of Ghana Airports Company Limited.
He further revealed that he and the others have been advised not to sleep in their houses.
“I was told that, Friday night don’t sleep in your house because they will come to your house Saturday morning, and then they will say 48 hours, so they will keep you till Monday; and so all of us have been told Richard Jakpa is coming, don’t sleep in your house,” he disclosed.
Adom Otchere later mentioned his house address at a location in the Teshie-Nungua Estates and added that he has nowhere to go and sleep so Jakpa and his people can come when they wish as he has nothing to hide.
Meanwhile, Dr Dominic Ayine the Attorney General yesterday at his press briefing called on Ghanaians to brace themselves for a rumble in the jungle in the next few weeks.
According to Dr Dominic Ayine, what the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB) Kwabena Adu-Boahene and his wife have done is like a “Thrilla in Manila”.
