A social media user has questioned if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has overlooked the hard work of journalist Bridget Otoo which contributed to the party winning the December 7, 2024 general elections.

In a cryptic post on X, Bridget Otoo wrote, “Monkey worked”, a message which has been interpreted as her having done a good job for the NDC but now she is being overlooked and is yet to receive an appointment from the party.

One of her most obvious posts she made which clearly indicated her support for the NDC and President John Dramani Mahama was she claimed God purposefully gave the NDC a clear win in the election.

Bridget Otoo asserted that if John Mahama had not won the 2024 elections emphatically the EC chairperson Jean Mensa would have been re-collating John Mahama’s numbers to give the win to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Bridget Otoo wrote on X, “There’s a reason God gave @JDMahama an emphatic win! Like by now Jean Mensa would be re-collating JM’s numbers to give the win to Bawumia…”

There have been allegations that the Electoral Commission is planning to connive with the NPP to swap pink sheets to give the NPP some seats in the parliamentary elections.

Meanwhile, the EC’s certified results for the 2024 elections, Mahama secured 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55% of the total valid votes cast. His closest contender, Dr. Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), garnered 4,657,304 votes, representing 41.61%.

With President Mahama now in office some claim Bridget Otoo’s appointment is long overdue.

In a previous post on X, Bridget wrote that she wished President Mahama would appoint her Director General of state owned broadcaster GBC for only a week. That was after one of her followers nominated her as ambassador to either the UK or Canada of alternatively as director of GBC.

X users and fans of Bridget Otoo are on the look out for if she will truly receive an appointment from the President.
