According to him, the level of betrayal he suffered at the hands of ex-President Akufo-Addo is something he can never forget as it has left a mark on him.

Nana Oppong revealed although he showed unflinching commitment towards former President Akufo-Addo even before he became president, he (Akufo-Addo) failed to defend him when it mattered the most.

“I went through a whole lot at the Jubilee House. It even got to a point where I thought about resigning. Akufo-Addo was not listening to advice and the Chief of Staff also had her own little empire within the walls of the Jubilee House.”

“It was at the Jubilee House that I realized you can follow Akufo-Addo and show commitment towards him but when there is an issue, he cannot even defend you, not  even a little bit,” he added.

Nana Oppong blamed himself for the ordeal he suffered, saying he refused to listen to the advice given by many, telling him to stay away from former President Akufo-Addo.

The politician who is pained by the treatment he suffered at the Jubilee House says he will not fight for the party he loves ever again if he does not receive an apology from them.

“We are approaching 2028 and if they don’t come to me and apologize, I won’t do anything for the party, or even campaign for them. The few people you think you believe in, engage in a campaign  with them, and those you’ve fired leave them be,” he stated.

He recounted key roles he played in bringing former President Akufo-Addo to power and argued the treatment he received at the Jubilee House was far from ideal.
