Activist and Democracy Hub convener, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has quizzed why the former lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong is walking free while Daniel Koranteng has been arrested in connection with the death of Ahmed Suale.
According to Oliver Barker-Vormawor, Daniel Koranteng’s arrest has to do with the fact that he sold or gave a picture of the late Ahmed Suale to a lawmaker.
He asserted that if the case against Koranteng is connected to outing Ahmed to a lawmaker and that ultimately led to his death, why is Kennedy Agyapong walking free?

Okay, if the case against Koranteng is connected to outing Ahmed to a lawmaker and that ultimately led to his death, why is the lawmaker himself walking free?
I am interested in this case and what the case against Daniel Koranteng is. Thanks to the Police for seemingly making some progress on this matter”, he added.
Meanwhile, the former associate of the late investigative journalist Ahmed Suale at Tiger Eye PI, Daniel Owusu Koranteng has been charged with murder and remanded.
Daniel Owusu Koranteng has been charged in connection to the death of Ahmed Suale and has been accused of causing the Ahmed Suale death.
The information gathered from the case details reveals, that Daniel Owusu Koranteng was near Suale’s residence in Madina before and during the time of the shooting.
According to reports, Owusu Koranteng left Madina that night to his home around 11 pm and evaded the Ghana Police Service invitation.
He later fled to the UK in 2019 and was arrested on March 15, 2025, after he returned to Ghana.
It has also been revealed that Ahmed Suale identified Daniel Owusu Koranteng as the individual who sold his picture to the former lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong.
The Madina District Court has since remanded Owusu Koranteng into custody and the case has been adjourned to April 1.
Ahmed Suale was tragically shot and killed in a ride-by shooting near his home in Madina, a suburb of the capital, Accra after Kennedy Agyapong’s utterances.
Eyewitnesses said he was killed by two men who fired at the car from close range as it slowed for a junction. The first bullet hit Hussein-Suale in the neck and the car accelerated, crashing into a storefront. One of the gunmen calmly approached the driver’s side and fired two shots through the broken window directly into Hussein-Suale’s chest. Then he turned to those watching, smiled, and raised a finger to his lips.
It is believed that the 31-year-old Ahmed was assassinated due to the investigative work he did with the Tiger Eye PI team and Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
His death came after the Tiger Eye team aired its famous Number 12 expose, which exposed widespread corruption in African football and led to the end of the illustrious career of the then Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
When the expose aired, then Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong began a campaign against the Anas team calling for Anas to be hanged.
Weeks after the expose aired, he used his television station to disclose the identity of Ahmed Suale and the neighbourhood in which he lived, saying, “If you meet him somewhere, slap him… beat him,” he said. “Whatever happens, I’ll pay.”
