Ghanaian media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has slammed colleague Kofi Adomah, claiming his recent public address after his eye injury is simply a sympathy stunt.
According to her, the press conference and the utterances of Kofi Adomah were not sincerely.
She also challenged the extent of his injuries, claiming they were being exaggerated.
“The plaster of Kofi Adomah’s eye was it put there by a doctor or a pharmacist? The God I serve will deal with everyone of you and you will see the God I worship. The plaster on his eye looks like it was put there by his wife. A doctor after completing a surgery will not cover the eye this way. He just wants public sympathy,” she made mockery of Kofi Adomah.
Afia Schwarzenegger further brought out google searched images of how plasters are applied after eye surgery. According to her, Kofi Adomah’s eye dressing is suspicious as his eye lids have been covered.
“Who does he think he is trying to fool.” She stated.
Kofi Adomah addressed the public for the first time ever since he sustained his eye injury. Kofi Adomah, with his family and wife by his side, recounted the harrowing ordeal that left him with a severe eye injury.
According to him, he had been invited by a chief in the Bono Region to cover the 25th anniversary of the Dormaahene’s enstoolment. However, the joyous occasion took a tragic turn when he was suddenly shot.
“I travelled to Dormaa with my team to honour the invitation. While covering the event, I was suddenly shot, and I began to bleed profusely. I completely lost vision in one eye,” he recounted.
He was immediately rushed to the Dormaa Hospital for emergency treatment. Despite his initial determination to continue covering the event, his condition worsened, prompting his transfer to Accra and subsequently abroad for specialized medical care.
What has shocked Kofi Adomah the most, however, is the Dormaahene’s silence following the incident.
“I’m truly surprised. I returned to my hometown to cover a significant celebration and ended up injured, yet I’ve not received even a phone call from the Dormaahene. I’m not expecting money or compensation I just think a simple gesture of concern would have been the right thing to do,” he stated.
Kofi Adomah emphasized that his disappointment is not about financial support but about what he believes to be a basic act of courtesy and empathy from the traditional leader.
