Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rejected the apology of host of Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Morning Show, Kwami Sefa Kayi and calls for the party to return to the show.

The NDC boycotted the Kokrokoo show in May 2020 after describing the host, Kwami Sefa Kayi as a dictator and bias.

A statement signed by Sammy Gyamfi, said the decision was taken following the radio station’s ‘unfair paneling system that the production team of that programme has continuously foisted on the NDC over a number of months.

“The National Communication Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) wishes to inform all its communicators, media monitors, and officials that the party has boycotted Peace (104.3) FM’s morning show (Kokrokoo) effective today, Wednesday, 6th May 2020”, Sammy Gyamfi, said in the statement.

The NDC further stated that all efforts to get the producers and host of the programme to replace the former NDC Central regional chairman of the party Allotey Jacobs with a fair-minded NDC member had proved futile, indicating that “the party continues to be treated with utmost contempt.

Five (5) years down the line with the NDC in power now, Kwami Sefa Kayi has apologized to the party and asked them to empanel its communicators on the show.

The party faithful have however rejected his pleas, asking their national executives not to make any mistake and return to the Kokrokoo Morning Show.

Below are some comments:

@YaaChinese – Since May 2020, he’s now extending an olive branch? They never imagined in their wildest dreams that the NDC would win power. They’ve been fine since 2020, and they’ll continue to be fine without an NDC communicator.

@GHDeservesBest – The @OfficialNDCGh must ignore him as well. These criminals need to be investigated so it’ll be better to dissociate yourselves from them until after the second face of ORAL.

@_TigerOne –KSK arrogantly thinks his show is the “biggest in Ghana”, but the good news is that the NDC performed better without them, and must continue to disassociate the party from that NPP agenda station. @SammyGyamfi_must NEVER forget what they did to him. “Olive branch” my foot

@x_trailblazer – Masa, masa, KSK can’t fool anybody ooo. Ibi now wey he know symbiotic relationship?

@WizlaFinito – All of a sudden they want the NDC back on their program huh. Very funny, even in opposition they survived 5 years without your radio station so why makes you think that they will be needing it now that they are in power. Are you the only radio station in Ghana?

@teri_devon – Obviously NDC does not NEED them. If they did, they wouldn’t have won the elections after boycotting your show!!! Make Sammy accept the apology but make no communicator go there!!!!

@AmeenDwaine – Why apologizing now? What if ndc had not won?

@sgmmeyoo – No bygone will be bygone , NDC don’t need Kwame Sefa Kayi’s platform for anything cos as he said it’s about 5 years today they boycotted their platform so they should share their platforms with their fellow members of NPP’s simple .

@geenaeus – The NDC must avoid and ignore despite media until the station collapses naturally
