Asiedu Nketia assured Ghanaians the current NDC administration is committed to ensuring accountability, even among its members.

“We will tighten the noose on accountability, and even elements within this government who engage in corrupt activities will not go scot-free,” he added.

His comments come at the back of the OSP’s declaration of Ken Ofori-Atta wanted in connection with ongoing corruption cases.

The minority in parliament have opposed the description of Ken Ofori-Atta as wanted, accusing of the OSP of being engaged in witch-hunting.

The NPP party also held a press conference on Thursday, February 13, 2025 to address the claim of the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng. Addressing the press, National Organiser of the party, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) described the description of the OSP as “unreasonable.”

“Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta can never be a fugitive. He is not a fugitive, and he will never be a fugitive. The OSP got it wrong,” he stated.

According to him, the allegation against Ken Ofori-Atta are “sensational statements” seeking to create unnecessary drama in the country.
