Some Twifo Praso Senior High School students have showered praises on President John Dramani Mahama for significantly improving their meals in their dining hall.
According to the Free SHS student, for the first time in Twifo Praso SHS, they are eating waakye with two eggs each.
Speaking in a recorded video while at the dining hall, the SHS student stated, “Wow, the first time in Twifo Praso Senior High School dining hall, there had been never waakye and egg at the dining hall before.
When 3ye Zu came to power we are now eating waakye, look at the Waakye, it looks delicious with egg two each, 3ye Zu 3ye Za”, she added.
This is not the first time Free SHS students have praised John Mahama.
According to the SHS students in a different school, they thought President Mahama was going to cancel the Free SHS but now they are enjoying the Free SHS.
The student revealed that their school now feed them with Abena rice and Cindy rice with fried sausage.
Speaking in a self-recorded video the SHS students stated, “We thought Mahama was coming to cancel the Free SHS, but all along he was not going to cancel it, the food we are eating now, now we have been eating Abena Rice, boy am I lying? Now we eat Abena rice, nowadays they even fry sausage for us in addition”.
“Now the Free SHS is very nice, nowadays we don’t eat unattractive foods, Nana Addo was being wicked”, he added.
Another student who spoke to this news portal stated, “They are cooking Cindy and Milicent rice for us JM onapo”.
The former Akufo-Addo government tenure saw many Senior High Schools across the country battle with serious food shortages, with students being forced to eat the same meals up to three times daily.
They were also accused by Hon Ablakwa of feeding SHS students with some re-package over 22,000 50kg bags of expired rice.
Meanwhile, President John Mahama some months ago ordered the distribution of food meant for victims of last year’s drought in the northern part of the country to be redirected to schools which were stored in warehouses at Tema Port.
