Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah affirmed that he now regrets speaking against such a good man not because of politics, but because of his kind heart.

Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah before the 2024 elections made a bold declaration that God has entrusted the country to NDC flagbearer John Mahama during a meeting with clergy on October 1, 2024, and faced a large public backlash for his prophecy from now opposition NDC.

Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, February 16, 2025, Rev. Owusu-Bempah stated, “I am pained because, in the past, I didn’t know him well, and we engaged in unnecessary conflicts. When I think about it now, I regret speaking against such a good man.”

“Chairman Wontumi was among those who made me dislike President Mahama, he said a lot of negative things about him, which led me to form a wrong opinion. But now I see that Mahama is a good man, not because of politics, but because of his kind heart”, he added.

The man of God added, “I didn’t know back then that he was such a good man. We spoke against him unjustly. Chairman Wontumi lied to me about him, and I believed those lies, which made me hate Mahama at the time”.

Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah further added that President John Mahama should be allowed to continue as president even after his four-year tenure.

“…Mahama should be allowed to continue as president even after his four-year term. When he is ready to step down, he should appoint someone else to continue his good work”, he boldly stated.
