43-year-old Esi Affumwaa has bitten the testicles of 36-year-old farmer, Osman over a 20pesewas debt owed her.
The shocking incident which occurred in the Assin Wurakese Camp, located in the Assin Foso Municipality of the Central Region, has shocked residents.
According to Osman, he purchased a cigarette worth Ghc1.20pesewas from Affumwaa who operates a drinking spot in the area. Osman who paid Ghc1.00 promised to settle the 20pesewas remaining at a later date to which Affumwaa agreed to.
Osman returned to the drinking spot the following day with the intention of buying another cigarette and settling his outstanding debt. The young man gave Affumwaa a Ghc5 note with the thought that she would deduct the outstanding 20pesewas debt from the money.
However, things took a different turn when he decided to make another cigarette purchase from his Ghc5.00. Upon the request, Affumwaa confronted him and demanded payment of the 20pesewas debt to the surprise of Osman.
According to Osman, the confrontation quickly escalated with Affumwaa hitting him on the head with a stick which forced him to the ground.
Affumwaa seized the opportunity to bite Osman’s balls when he fell on the ground.
“She, with the help of her children, pounced on me, beating me mercilessly before biting my testicles,” Osman recounted.
Osman started screaming from the pain of the bite while he bled profusely seeking help. Bystanders who heard his screams rushed to Affumwaa’s spot and rushed him to the hospital.
The police have however arrested Affumwaa. Meanwhile, Osman has been released from the hospital.
