Dominic Nitiwul, the former Minister of Defence has quizzed what business Richard Jakpa has in the house of the former finance minister Ken Ofori Atta.
According to Dominic Nitiwul, the government has no right to send soldiers to raid a man’s house when he is not at home.
His comments come after the well-known businessman and an NDC member Richard Jakpa led the military raid on the former finance minister Ken Ofori Atta’s residence.
CCTV photos of military men who stormed the residence of former finance minister Ken Ofori Atta surfaced yesterday following Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng claiming the purported raid of Ken Ofori-Atta’s residence was staged.
Speaking on the floor of parliament Dominic Nitiwul stated, “You have no right to send soldiers, to raid a man’s house when he is not there when he has told you I will come and that he is out of the country. It is worse than armed robbery to the fact that I have seen pictures of Richard Jakpa who has just been forgiven of his sins raiding somebody’s house”.
“What business does Jakpa have in the house of a man who is supposed to be travelling outside, this is not the democracy we are building”, he added.
The former defence minister added, “It is wrong for John Mahama who just won an election to try to use soldiers to intimidate people, we will not agree today, we will not agree tomorrow, we are not cowards, we will account to anybody who wants us to account”.
Meanwhile, the OSP denied the allegation of raiding the residence of Ken Ofori Atta.
Addressing the press on Wednesday, February 12, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng stated, “Mr. Ofori-Atta, the OSP did not raid your house on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, or on any other day. Mr. Ofori-Atta, the OSP did not cause any person, however uniformed, to raid your house on February 11, 2025, or on any other day. That could not have been the OSP, and that is not our style. If the OSP enters your premises, you will not be in doubt as to where the OSP had come from, and your lawyers will not have cause to inquire as to whether it was the OSP,”

Richard Jakpa, who has just been pardoned by his corrupt boss for stealing our millions, raided the former Finance Minister Ken Ofori House. The OSP should stop daring us with these moves.
