A member of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team, Martin Kpebu, has revealed the ORAL team would hold Attorney-General Dr Dominic Ayine accountable.
According to Martin Kpebu, Dr Dominic Ayine cannot just throw away the complaints submitted by the public.
He asserted that the AG knows Domelevo and Ablakwa would not give him peace, and Raymond Archer has been appointed as one of the deputy directors of EOCO, so he would be helping.
Speaking on Citi FM, Martin Kpebu revealed, “Those are petitions. People have written, some even anonymously, but they are saying that if you go to a police station to write that I have seen this, Mr X or this money has been paid, it is way more than that. So those are petitions. The AG will not just throw them away”.
“He’s going to go through them, and then the ones he finds straightforward and easy to investigate, he will start. And, of course, the difficult ones too, he will do, but he will not just throw them away”, he added.
Martin Kpebu further added, “We know the petitions we submitted. How will the AG throw them away when he knows that I, Kpebu, sat through, brought petitions, and gathered some evidence? He won’t get peace. Ablakwa won’t give him peace.
“Domelevo will not give him peace. Kofi Boakye, and now, fortunately for us, Raymond Archer has been appointed as one of the deputy directors of EOCO, so he will be helping,”
“So Dr Ayine will not even do that… We will hold him accountable; he won’t get peace”, Martin Kpebu reiterated.
Meanwhile, The former chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) and Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed that with just 36 cases, Ghana can potentially recover $ 20.49 billion in stolen state resources.
