Pastor and the founder of Alabaster International Ministries (Alabaster House Chapel), Prophet Kofi Oduro has narrated how he made the Adenta police arrest his nephew for a driving offence.
According to him, his nephew one day called him and informed him he had been arrested by the Adenta police. His nephew explained that he had used an unauthorized lane and that had led to his arrest.
In a bid to save himself from arrest, he told the police man his uncle was Prophet Kofi Oduro. Prophet Kofi Oduro asked that the phone be given to the police man, after which he sought to hear his side of the story as well.
It was here that he realized his nephew had given him only a half of the story.
Upon greeting the police man and identifying himself, he asked the police man to tell him why he had arrested his nephew.
Recounting the incident, he noted that the policeman explained that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) was retuning to Accra from Somanya in a full police convoy with sirens blaring. Kofi Oduro’s nephew took advantage of the situation and joined the convey illegally.
Although the police men in the IGP’s convoy had seen him, they chose to ignore him. However, he followed the convoy and enjoyed its perks until they reached Adenta, and this was where the police men decided to take action.
“So, when they got to Adenta, one dispatch rider dropped back from the convoy and arrested him, and impounded the car at the Adenta police station. When he finished telling me his side of the story, I asked them to lock him up. It was a Saturday so he was in the cell from until Monday when he was taken to court. On his way to the court, he called me and informed me he was going to court. The only thing I could tell him was that I was praying for him because that’s my job,” he told his congregation.
Social media users have applauded Prophet Kofi Oduro for his actions, saying it was the right thing to do.

@morphaya – If every person of influence in this country would behave like this man did in our daily affairs,Ghana would be corruption free for real.
@me_amui – He’s not wicked. Do you expect him to go contrary to what he preaches? This same social media will condemn him if he had talked his nephew out of it, saying he’s a man of God who criticizes people but won’t do the right thing.
@mannersjet – l know some will criticize him for the statement lock him but l think he did the right thing to set an example for the rest of the family line
@theKhenstone – If every Dad ,every uncle and every leader do this we will be sanitizing the system
@Ademens1 – My late uncle was police DSP in Kumasi. he did the same thing to me, but I wasn’t locked up he ask me to pay a fee to them
