The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Osman Ayariga says he will be biased in employing people to work with the Authority.
According to him, Ghanaians with affiliations to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be the first to get jobs from him.
He indicated that should two people, one from the NDC and another from the NPP come to him for employment with the same qualification, he will definitely choose the NDC candidate over the NPP person.
“From my preference, I will prefer to deal with the NDC youth first before I go into other political parties. If the two Ghanaians come to me with equal qualification, I will go for the Ghanaian who is NDC. They are all equal with the same qualification and I am CEO, that is my bias,” he stated emphatically.
Osman Ayariga drawing a distinction, indicated that he will however implement a proposal brought before him regardless of the affiliation of the proposal’s origination.
“Irrespective of your political coloration if you bring a proposal for me to implement, I will make sure I implement it irrespective of your political color. But now you’re going further to ask me if I have an opportunity to give between an NDC youth and NPP youth with equal qualification then it is now my discretion whom I give it to,” he added.
The National Youth Authority which was established during the Acheampong era, is mandated to provide relevant and conducive environment that defines and supports the implementation of effective frontline youth empowerment practices, focusing on young people’s participation in socio-economic and political development.
