Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey will be released by Premier League giants Arsenal in June 2025, The Sun has reported.
According to the report, Thomas Partey is part of six (6) other players who will leave Arsenal at the end of the 2025/2026 football season.
With Partey’s contract expiring in June, reports say Arsenal is not going to renew the midfielder’s contract.
This is part of efforts by the club to free their wage bill and raise some revenue as manager Mikel Arteta is expected to make new signings to strengthen his team for the 2026/2027 Premier League season.
Partey’s current contract upon expiration at the end of the season and will leave him a free agent.
The report also states that Oleksandr Zinchenko, Kieran Tierney, Jorginho, Jakub Kiwior, Neto, and Raheem Sterling are the six other players expected to leave Arsenal in June.
This announcement follwos a previous interview by Mikel Arteta where he hinted of Thomas Partey’s departure.
In the interview, Arteta shed light on Arsenal’s future plans revealing the club was preparing for some big name departures.
“We have some situations with contracts expiring . We have to be prepared,” he said according to a post made by Fabrizio Romano.
Thomas Partey joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020 after the Gunners activated his £45million release clause.
