Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, has been advised to learn to say sorry when he errs.
Member of Parliament (MP) for Damongo, Samuel Abu Jinapor urged Sam George to take lessons on apology from Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
“Mr. speaker with him (Sam George) as my younger brother and someone I know very well; I will first advise him that he should take a cue from the minority leader. Mr. Speaker when you err you apologize, when you’re unfair to people you apologize. Mr. Speaker strong men apologize, strong women apologize, wise men apologize,” he stated.
He further intimated that apologizing for one’s wrongs is in no way a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of strength.
“My Speaker apology is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength so when you’re wrong, when you’re unfair to people, you apologize.”
Sam George insisted he will not apologize to former President Nana Akufo-Addo and Chief Justice Getrude Torkonoo over his previous criticisms of them when he appeared before the Appointments Committee.
Although some said he will not be approved if he refused to apologize, Sam George still stood by his words.
