The Member of Parliament for Damongo, Samuel Abu Jinapor has apologised to the minister of communication Sam Nartey George over his allegation he was watching porn on the floor of parliament.
According to Abu Jinapor, he unreservedly withdrew and apologised.
Abu Jinapor is quoted by TV3 to have said, “ I unreservedly withdraw and apologise to my brother (Sam George)”.
Speaking on the floor of parliament, Abu Jinapor stated, “The honourable Sam George, as an Elder of the Perez Chapel, not a member as an elder, and as somebody who espouses his Christian values should also be mindful of what he watches when he is in parliament.
He should be mindful of that as well especially when serious business is being conducted in the house. Today it will appear that my brother will have some explanation to do”, he added.
Meanwhile, the photo circulating on social media of Sam George’s watching porn in parliament has been described as fake.
Sam George in a post wrote, “It is a deliberate attempt by some members on the Minority to engage in active (dis) misinformation. That would be dealt with decisively going forward. Thanks”.
