The mother of the Interior Minister Muntaka Mubarak, Hajia Saudatu Sulemana Muntaka has passed away.

According to reports, Hajia Saudatu Sulemana Muntaka passed away at the age of 83.
She died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital following a short illness on Monday afternoon February 3, 2025.
Hajia Saudatu Sulemana Muntaka passed away the same day Interior Minister Muntaka Mubarak assumed his new role.
Muntaka Mubarak has on numerous occasions credited his mother for shaping his life and career.
The interior minister is at his family home in Kumasi to oversee preparations for her burial, scheduled for today, February 4.
