Lawyer Baffour Awuah the Manhyia South MP has boldly stated that the late former president, Jerry John Rawlings was a murderer.
According to Lawyer Baffour Awuah, there is nothing wrong with an NPP MP allegedly labelling the late former president a murderer.
He asserted that there are books and evidence to back up claims that the late JJ Rawlings killed a lot of people when he was president of Ghana.
His comments come as the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin was on the floor addressing Parliament at the time when a loud voice from the back bench from the Minority in Parliament called a Majority MP a “Daughter of a Murderer.”
Although the identity behind the loud is yet to be identified the netizens have claimed it is the voice of Abu Jinapor who has since denied the allegations.
The member of parliament however noted that it is wrong to call the Member of Parliament (MP) for Korle-Klottey constituency Zanetor Rawlings a “daughter of a murderer” and does not support that.
Speaking on Lawson FM he stated, “There is a lot of evidence that shows that Rawlings was a murderer in this country, there are books that people have written, his own people around him, the National Reconciliation Commission people came to cry for us to see what happened.
Amnesty International report also showed the number of people who disappeared in this country, but this country we have turned our history into politics”.
Meanwhile, Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has received an ultimatum from traditional rulers of the Anlo Kingdom in the Volta Region to fish out the Member of Parliament (MP) who screamed “Daughter a Murderer, Sit Down!” in the House.
In their petition to the Speaker of Parliament and MPs who were initially suspected of being behind the comment, but later cleared of involvement, the Anlo chiefs have set a February 10 deadline for identifying the culprit.
