Ghanaian YouTube personality Kwadwo Sheldon has mocked Albert Nat Hyde commonly known as Bongo Ideas after he was ordered by an Accra High Court to pay Kojo Forex GH₵170,000 in a defamation case.
According to Kwadwo Sheldon, Bongo Ideas pushes the centre table in his room before he sleeps how is he going to pay for the GH₵170,000 in defamation?
Kwadwo Sheldon wrote on X, “Person wey dey push centre table before he sleeps how he go take pay this defamation money? Chale make he come sweep your house den clean cars and take the rest give God”.
Kwadwo Sheldon in another post stated, “Not gonna lie I have contemplated on lawyering up on him but to what end? If I win a defamation case against Bongo unless he cleans my studio for the rest of his life to balance the sheet.. not worth it but the person e go be worth to am take do am so we thank God”.
Kojo Forex on 17 May 2023 filed a defamation suit against Bongo Ideas demanding one million Ghana cedis (GH₵1,000,000).
Kojo Forex accused Bongo Ideas of publishing defamatory statements about him on Twitter which seeks to harm his reputation.
Justice Forson Agyapong Baah of the Accra High Court Jurisdiction 2 after reviewing the evidence presented delivered a ruling on January 28, 2025.
Bongo Ideas has been ordered to pay Kojo Forex general damages of GH₵100,000, along with an extra GH₵50,000 for aggravated, exemplary, and compensatory damages.
Additionally, the offender was instructed to pay GH₵20,000 in legal costs.
The Accra High Court has also ordered Bongo Ideas to publicly apologize for the defamatory statements made.
The controversial social media personality has also been directed to retract his statement on his Twitter page within 21 days of the judgment.
The court has also restricted Bongo Ideas from making or issuing any further defamatory statements regarding Kojo Forex.
