The minority leader of parliament Afenyo Markin has fired shots at critics of the Freemason.
According to Afenyo Markin, the highest level of Masonry is all about the New Testament and Christ, the teachings of Christ.
He added that people don’t know and they say all sorts of things that Freemasonry is an occultic society.
Speaking in JoyNews’ The Probe on Sunday, February 2, 2025, Afenyo Markin detailed, “So, I’m telling you that this Rose Choir, Perfection Stage, the highest level of Masonry, is all about the New Testament and Christ, the teachings of Christ. It is talking about the sacrifices Christ made. And it is therefore reprehensible for anybody to say that Freemasonry is an occultic society.
You must profess Christ to be perfected at that point, if they don’t know and they say things for hope, faith, charity, everything is there. Read, I will not belong to a society that does not accept Christ. Else I won’t even talk about it. I’m not a hypocrite. You see, people don’t know and they say things.” He boldly added.
Afenyo Marlin added., “This is the Mark Masonry, it talks about the rejected stone. It deals with situations where people think that they are perfect and they look down upon people. So the whole practice of Mark Masonry is to let you appreciate that those who are placed at the lowest ebb of fortune’s wheel are supposed to have your regard, You couldn’t even say the quote refers to Jesus, you didn’t profess Christ”.
Meanwhile, the Catholic Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie revealed a true Catholic and a Freemason at the same time.
Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie in his letter revealed the Catholic Church’s teaching remains unchanged and emphasises that membership in Masonic societies is contradictory to Catholic doctrine.
He also added that the faithful who enrol in Masonic associations are in a state of grave sin and may not receive Holy Communion.
