According to Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, he would not even attend if he were corrupt and invited by the ORAL team.

He asserted that ORAL is a toothless institution without the power to investigate or engage in many activities.

Speaking on JOY NEWS AM Show on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, he stated, “I see ORAL as a toothless institution without the power to investigate or engage in many activities”.

“Martin Kpebu (ORAL Committee member), who just spoke, is a private legal practitioner. He doesn’t have the power to investigate, nor does he have the authority to mount prosecutions. So, if Martin Kpebu were to invite me, I wouldn’t attend, even if I were corrupt. And even if I were corrupt, and the Police or EOCO invited me, I would dare not”, he added.

Alfred Tuah-Yeboah added, “In my view, they (ORALCommittee) cannot help in any way with the fight against corruption. We have state institutions for that purpose. If we have resources, they should be channelled to these state institutions so they can do their job.”

Yesterday,  February 10, 2025, the ORAL team submitted their final report to President John Mahama, who has since directed the Attorney General for further actions.

The chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) and Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed that with just 36 cases, Ghana can potentially recover $ 20.49 billion in stolen state resources.

Meanwhile, President John Dramani Mahama has boldly declared Ghana is no longer a safe haven for corruption.

According to John Mahama, those who think they can defraud the state and escape justice, Ghana is no longer a safe haven for them.
