The OSP has since removed Ken Ofori Atta from their wanted list after the suspect confirmed his return date to Ghana.

There have also been reports that one of the queenpin in the NSS Scandal Gifty Oware-Mensah has reportedly fled the country after NPP lost power in the 2024 elections.

Speaking on JOY NEWS PM Express on Wednesday, February 18, Richard Ahiagbah revealed, “

Revealing the directive from the former President, “There’s an effective commitment right from the former President himself. He has given a directive to ensure that our people are available to do that”.

“I just don’t want to go into the details of what he said, but there is that disposition from the former President an indication to stay and make sure that you account for [your stewardship]”, he added.

Richard Ahiagbah asserted that the NPP have no record of running away from accountability and is going to remain in the country.

He accused the National Democratic Congress of rather running away from accountability citing Sedinam Tamakloe’s disappperance.

“We [the NPP] have no record of running away; we’ll be here, We’ll deal with the issues here. It was the NDC members who ran away. My own sister, Sedinam Tamakloe, disappeared. She was tried in absentia, but she ought to be here. Our party has no history of our officials fleeing from accountability”, he revealed.

Richard Ahiagbah further revealed the NPP is preoccupied with how to contest the 2028 election and matters to do with accountability their members will be in Ghana to answer.

“Our preoccupation is how we get our party situated and contest the 2028 election. Matters to do with accountability—our people will be here to answer the questions”, he added.

He added that when the dust settles Ghanaians will notice the good work of the NPP, “We came to do the best we can. And I believe that when the dust settles, Ghana will see what we have done for the eight years”,
