Fatimatu Abubakar further revealed that someone told her the NPP MPs in opposition are looking better than the NDC in power.

Speaking in an interview on Movement TV on February 16, 2025, Fatimatu Abubakar revealed, “There is a saying that in all things, we should give glory to God because if this hadn’t happened, we wouldn’t have learned a lesson. Someone told me, Minister, it seems the NPP looks better than the NDC in power.”

“Now that we are in opposition, just look at Parliament, now the Minority has turned into the Majority because of English. People are really struggling to speak English in the chamber”,she added.

The former minister further asserted that the NDC Members of Parliament (MPs) serving on parliamentary committees struggle to express themselves in English which has made them mute.

She further claimed that the NDC so-called superstars MPs have been relegated to become back benches.

“NDC foot soldiers are crying on social media. Despite packing themselves onto various committees, when an NDC MP is called upon to speak, they often fumble with the English language. Some of their so-called superstars have also been relegated to the backbenches, all because of English,” she stated.

Fatimatu Abukar further teased the communication minister saying, “In opposition, they said real men take care of their wive, now they say my wife take care of me, do you know what the girls are saying on the streets, they are saying the Dzata has turned into a pussy cat meow. Right now Ghana has turned into a comedy channel, people are really entertained”.
