Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande has been appointed as the Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency.
He will serve as deputy to COP Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd).
Sources at the Presidency confirmed to The Herald that his appointment letter was delivered to him yesterday, Thursday, 6th February. 2025.
Mustapha was Initially linked to the National Security Secretariat as a Deputy Coordinator.
Mustapha, who previously served as the Deputy Volta Regional Secretary of the NDC, possesses extensive experience in security operations and consultancy.
Gbande, a seasoned politician and strategist, has been a key figure in the NDC, playing a significant role in shaping the party’s electoral strategies and grassroots mobilization efforts.
His appointment to this pivotal position in the Presidency is seen as a strategic move to capitalize on his expertise in operations and administration.
