The Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, Hon. Issah Atta has recounted how an alleged member of the former administration tried to get his backing to keep an illegally acquired government land.
According to Issah Atta, the individual purportedly acquired the land on the 13th of December 2024 and has since begun construction before he was stopped by the ORAL committee.
Speaking in an interview on Class FM, Hon. Issah Atta recounted, “I visited Tamale over the weekend someone came to me, he was building in my constituency, he was building quickly even in the night and when Domelevo and his squad went over there they stopped him because it is government land and he only acquired the land on 13th December.
He wants to build it before we swear in President Mahama, so when I went over the weekend they had ordered him to stop, in money laundering these days people don’t lauder through financial institutions they lauder through Real estate”, he stated.
The member of parliament further added, “He came to me as an MP to use my influence to help and I said I don’t want to face the repercussions of this ORAL committee they are not a respecter of person, the way it is you have admitted to me that the land was illegally acquired.
I am too young in parliament, I am still one and a half months I don’t want trouble don’t crash me, there is a saying that the lizard hides the head to be mature. The lizards sometimes see some yellowish for them to achieve that they hide if you don’t hide and you are exposed they will kill you, I told him that please he needs to talk to the big guys”, he boldly added.
