Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe commonly known as Abronye DC has claimed President John Dramani Mahama will not survive because of the behaviour of his appointees.
According to Abronye DC, the kind of things Mahama and his appointees are doing will lead to John Mahama’s downfall.
Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV, on February 20, 2025, Abronye stated, “President Mahama is done with his appointment, I am telling Mahama that he won’t survive because of the behaviour and the current path of his appointees. The kind of things they are doing, including the president himself, might lead to the downfall of his administration, no one is afraid of anybody, let me go and here they are claiming Abronye has run.
They claim I have gone into hiding, as I am sitting here I can press this government’s neck because I am not afraid, I am ready to stand trial, If you ever hear of my arrest, it will be on the radio, and that will be due to hatred, not any wrongdoing”, he added.
Abronye further added, “But for someone to say, NPP 8 years Abronye has done something for the government and he has benefited from wrongdoing so when investigations are being conducted Abronye will be called.
No agency under Nana Addo’s administration can say I supplied them with goods. There is not even a half kilometre of road that they can say Abronye constructed. If President Mahama and his appointees bring corruption allegations against me, I will surpass them all in any charges. So, if they joke with me, I can enter the Jubilee House and warn him to be careful about what he is doing, no one in the NPP can do that just me”, he boldly stated.
Abronye DC further made a shocking allegation against the wife of Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) is now selling gold.
According to Abronye DC, today if someone wants to buy 5 grams of gold unless the person goes through Sammy Gyamfi’s wife.
Abronye DC further claimed there is no gold in Accra, Kumasi, or Takoradi unless the buyer goes through Sammy Gyamfi’s wife.
He stated, “Do you know that if you want 5 grams of gold, buy from where Sammy Gyamfi is unless you go through his wife? Because it is finished, if you like call the Accra office, call the Kumasi Office, call the Takoradi office, call the head office.
But yesterday when someone wanted to buy five grams of gold, he called Sammy Gyamfi’s wife that is it. They are the ones who know where the gold is. Today if you are looking for a five-gram gold at the Accra office, Kumasi you won’t get it unless you pass through the liaison officers which Sammy Gyamfi’s wife is part of”, he added.
Abronye boldly claimed, “Sammy Gyamfi’s wife is now selling gold, just tomorrow, business is now home, unless you pass through a third person, what I am saying, if you like there are a lot of Ghanaians who have gone to the Ashanti region head office 5 grams of gold there is none”.
Meanwhile, Abronye DC has been summoned by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) to respond to some claims he levelled at President John Mahama.
According to Abronye DC, President John Mahama refuses to give GH₵550 million intended for dismissed appointees at the Jubilee House.
