Ghanaian Media personality Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has made a shocking allegation against the John Dramani Mahama administration.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has alleged that the John Mahama administration is taking GHS80,000 cedis and 50,000 cedis before issuing District Chief Executive (DCE) and the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) appointments.
According to the media personality, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) member revealed this to him.
Speaking on his For the Records show, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah stated, “ORAL we are going to help them continue when I close right now and some of them gave me information, that Okatakyie look into the DCE and MMDCE for Greater Accra once they are taking money. I am telling you one of their own brought this to me”.
“They are taking 80,000 cedis before giving DCE appointments, 50,000 cedis, just this evening. Your corruption has not yet started, when it starts we will know and when we see it we will say it”, Okatakyie alleged.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah further took a shot at National Security saying, “Abronye case National Security should get away from there no one is afraid of you, so do what is necessary, section 14 your mandate is there, go and look at it, is this National Security, abroad before you will see a National security officer then it is a serious issue”.
“We are not afraid of anything when you arrest me ten times, ten different Okatakyie will come from my back, I am not afraid of what you are saying, NDC people are not truthful.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah noted that John Mahama said he was coming with the 24-hour economy to open up the economy and to create jobs so how is dismissing people his concern?”, he added.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah in another episode of his show claimed President John Mahama was not ready to rule Ghana.
According to Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, President John Mahama knows next to nothing about governance.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah noted that John Mahama said he was coming with the 24-hour economy to open up the economy and to create jobs so how is dismissing people his concern?
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah stated, “John Mahama was not ready to rule the country, he knows next to nothing about governance, and that is the truth. If you are coming with the 24-hour economy to open up the economy to employ people to work, how is sacking people you concerned at a point you also appointed some?
He is saying some young man and woman should go home, I don’t know if those young people are from …. And this person says he is going to reset the nation, and everyone is happy”, he added.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah further fired shots at the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah who issued the directives to dismiss last-minute appointments.
“Is this resetting, what John Mahama is doing today that Julius Debrah who is looking to become a President has taken a document and signed that young people should be sacked, remember that if there is a change in government, that government will also do the same and that is a dangerous precedent”, he added boldly.
