The Cantonments home of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta was raided on Tuesday afternoon by a group of individuals in police and military uniforms.
The raid occurred while Ofori-Atta was reportedly out of the country, but some of his family members, including his wife, were present at the residence at the time the raid took place.
It is said that persons who took part in the raid were 12 in total, with five in military uniforms, one in a police uniform, and the rest in plain clothes.
Sources indicate that Ofori-Atta has been in the U.S. on medical grounds since the beginning of 2025 after notifying the Chief of Staff.
The motive behind the raid remains unclear.
Channel One News sources confirm that the 12 uniformed and plain cloth individuals entered the premises, but it is yet to be determined whether anything was taken.
Authorities have not issued an official statement on the incident.
