A member of John Mahama’s Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team Martin Kpebu has rejected claims by the minority leader Afenyo Markin that drones were used to spy on his private properties.
According to Martin Kpebu, it is a false Operation Recover All Loot committee sent drones to spy on Afenyo Markin’s properties.
Speaking in an interview with CITI NEWS, Martin Kpebu dismissed the allegations, “It is false. The ORAL committee has not sent any drones to spy on the Minority Leader’s properties it is not true at all. Looking at the members of the team, you can hazard that the committee will not do something ridiculous like that, so let’s disregard it. We do not own any drones as a committee at all”.
“We do not have any members aside from the committee members working for us. Since it is a democracy, claims like that are made for strategic reasons”, he added
In an interview on JOY NEWS The Probe on Sunday, February 2, 2025 Afenyo Markin claimed the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team led by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has been spying on his properties with drones.
The member of parliament alleged that he has been informed on numerous occasions by his boys about drones flying on his properties.
According to Afenyo Markin, the Ghana Police Service has also seen the drones fly over his property.
Speaking in JoyNews’ The Probe on Sunday, February 2, 2025, Afenyo Markin detailed, “ “Meanwhile, I was aware that these ORAL guys have been flying drones in Winneba over my property. I kept quiet. I managed it. They went to my beachfront property, mounted a drone, and flew it from the community center near the ‘nshorna.’ My boy saw it. I told them to ignore it,”
“In Abelenkpe, you’ll be there in the morning and you’ll see drones flying. The policemen have seen it. They told me, but I said ignore it. Sometimes, early in the morning, we see drones behind the rail line, and I know they are spying on my house. What business do drones have at the Minority Leader’s residence?”, he added.
