Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa wrote on X, “ They had every opportunity when they were in power for 8 years to have me prosecuted but they failed because there was nothing they could find. Now they have resorted to desperate smear press conferences and infantile fabrications”.

‘If they want a second round of vetting, I am ready for them. It is not a crime for a Member of Parliament to patriotically and diligently seek the protection of public resources and state assets pursuant to our constitutional mandate of oversight. Those on the side of truth and justice can never be intimidated”, he added.

Ablakwa further stated, “I shall remain focused on President Mahama’s exciting reset innovations which we are on the verge of implementing at the Foreign Ministry”.

Meanwhile, the minority leader of parliament has quizzed the minister-designate for Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa over his claims that all he earns is what he gets from parliament.

Afenyo Markin noted that Ablakwa stays at Airport Hills and quizzed how 15,000 cedis can be used to pay his rent every month for 8 years.

According to the minority leader, Okudzeto Ablakwa has been scrutinising people’s CVs but today when he is being scrutinized he says he is a tenant.
