Kevin Okyere, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Springfield Energy, a billion-dollar oil company has revealed his asset deep in the ocean is about the size of New York City.
According to Kevin Okyere, his asset Ghanaian energy company Springfield E&P is located 78 kilometres offshore.
He revealed that travelling by Helicopter takes 45 minutes but travelling on a boat takes 8 hours.
Speaking on World Tour, Kevin Okyere stated, “Currently, I own an asset which is about the size of New York City, I own an asset deep in the ocean, and it’s about the size of New York City. It’s located about 78 kilometres offshore.
“It is about 78 kilometres in the ocean. If you’re travelling by Chopper, it would take around 45 minutes to get there. If you are in a boat maybe 8 hours”, he added.
Meanwhile, the Billionaire businessman in an old interview opened up about his life.
According to him, he organised friends to sell water at Kotoko matches in Kumasi and also worked through school.
Kevin Okyere in an old interview with TV3 stated, “I didn’t take the opportunities that came to me for granted”… “I organized my friends and we sold water at Kotoko matches in Kumasi to gain entry and also worked as a student to pay my way through school”
He revealed that contrary to rumours he was an only child of a wealthy father, he has 27 other siblings 3 or 4 of whom are late.
Kevin Okyere further explained how came up with the name “Springfield” saying, “I went to school in George Mason University in Virginia and it (Springfield) is an area. I know”.
“But the name Springfield comes from, you know when things are springing up. When opportunities are gushing… ideas are gushing out. When Blessings are gushing out… oil and gas are gushing… When plants, I mean on the farm are gushing out.” He said making eruption gestures with his hands”.
