A Ghanaian man in the Russian army has detailed his experience in the Russia-Ukraine war.
According to the Ghanaian man fighting on the frontlines of the Russia-Ukraine war he has killed many people because if he does not he would be killed.
The young man further disclosed that he kill one man with one magazine.
In a video shared online by EDHUB, the Ghanaian man in the Russian army was spotted in military camouflage trousers and boots with another African in the Russian army.
The Ghanaian man in the video stated, “The mission isn’t easy; I have killed plenty. If you don’t kill, they will kill you. One man, one magazine”.
Meanwhile, surviving members of a group of 14 men from Ghana who were persuaded into the Russian military to fight against Ukraine have petitioned for help from Russia on Sept. 19.
According to TV3, the men arrived in Russia on Aug. 6 and were taken to Kostroma, a city in western Russia located 300 kilometres (186 miles) northeast of Moscow.
Speaking in an interview on TV3 the man stated, “It is quite unfortunate that I cannot go further, or else I will be crushed by a drone. Come to our aid and help us. As you can see, all the buildings here have collapsed. It is very scary. Please come and help us. We need your help.
“I’m not well; my legs are paining me, and I can’t stand on them. Please do something about it. Where I am now is extremely risky. I can’t stand on any of my legs. Please act quickly. Check on the embassy and speak to them on our behalf.”
He added, “My eyes well up with tears as I speak to you. I could not sleep last night. Please help us; otherwise, they will kill all of us,”.
Some Ghanaians under the post have shared their opinion on the comments made by the Ghanaian man in the Russian Army, saying, “I get the kill or be killed statement but I’m still wrapping my mind on how he finds pride with fighting someone’s war. Is it for the money or he is charged by a patriotic duty to Russia 🤔”.
“They are going to get huge opportunities immediately peace agreement is signed between the two countries. Even agreement has even started”, another stated.
An X user also stated, “Bro is not dying anytime soon 😂😂😂💔 this Ghana man mindset strong. Kweku smoke too dey for background be saf 😂 nanka Ghana you buy forms like 24”.
Additionally, another user stated the Ghanaian man in the Russian army is right, “What he said is absolutely true. Kill someone before they kill you. You will be dead if they kill you and you have nothing to explain. If I become a soldier and I am being deployed, I will kill thousands just to save my life !!!!!”.
