Sam George the Minister-Designate for Communications, Digital Technology has revealed he is appalled at the despicable behaviour of Afenyo Markin towards Clerk of Appointments Committee Gifty Jiagge-Gobah.
The minority leader Afenyo Markin has fired shots at the Clark of Appointments Committee Gifty Jiagge-Gobah.
He accused the clerk of starting the vetting process without informing them.
Afenyo Markin stated, “Don’t mistreat us, the fact that we are in the minority, we have helped you no opposition has ever helped a government form its government as quickly as possible, this partisan clerk when I was a majority leader you insisted the minority must be heard, shame on you, shame, get out, we don’t want you here, we don’t need you as a clerk”.
Reacting to Afenyo Markin comments, Sam George wrote on X, “ I am appalled at the despicable behaviour of @AfenyoMarkin towards Madam Gifty Jiagge Gobah – the Clerk to the Appointments Committee of @parliament_gh.
This shameful behaviour is unbecoming of a Leader of the august House. I am absolutely certain he would not have dared to do this to a male Clerk of Parliament”, he added.
Sam George added that Madam Gifty Gobah has been a staff of Parliament for 18 years and deserves the respect her office commands.
He further wrote, “Madam Gifty Jiagge Gobah, I and many more decent people stand with you. Be encouraged and stand strong with your head held high. Your poise and composure even when you were under the barrage of insults is remarkable. Such a role model for our daughters”.
