Ghanaian YouTube personality Kwadwo Sheldon has fired shots at a member of parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah noted that the new threshold of 60 ministers is worth celebrating but in the near future Ghanaians will be celebrating 50 ministers under the NPP.
The member of parliament is quoted by GHONE TV to have said, “ The new threshold of 60 ministers is worth celebrating, but in the near future, we will be celebrating 50 ministers under an NPP administration”.
Reacting to his comments, Kwadwo Sheldon noted that the NPP had eight years to appoint their claimed 50 ministers but failed to do it, now that someone is doing it the NPP is getting inspiration from it.
He added reducing the size of the government was the right thing to do from the start.
Kwadwo Sheldon wrote on X, “ Lmao, Hon, please paaaa! You had 8 years to do this. It’s not now that someone else is doing it, and you’re suddenly getting inspiration from them! This was the right thing to do from the start!”.
However, it will be recalled some weeks ago, the minority leader called on President John Mahama to apologize to Ghanaians for his promise to appoint not more than 60 ministers and appoint more.
According to Afenyo Markin, 60 ministers will not help the NDC’s political course.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians under Kwadwo Sheldon post wrote, “Nana Addo’s administration didn’t preach a reduction in the size of the Government. DMB did, and that’s what KON was emphasising on the floor yesterday”.
