Majority Leader of Parliament, Hassan Ayariga has promised to ensure the Member of Parliament (MP) who screamed “’Daughter of Murderer, Sit Down!” in the House suffers severe consequences for his actions.
Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin was on the floor addressing Parliament when a loud voice screamed “Daughter of Murderer, sit down”.
Adding salt to injury, the MP who screamed that obscenity was heard justifying “there is evidence that he killed people” and laughed his heart out after.
The scream echoed through the House and Afenyo-Markin became lost for words at the comment, but refused to comment on it and returned to his presentation after calm was restored in the House.
Obviously, the person that statement was directed at was none other than Member of Parliament (MP) for Korle-Klottey constituency, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings.
Initially, MP for Damongo Samuel Abu Jinapor was accused of having done the deed, but he has denied it and a careful attention to the voice which made the comment also corroborates his story.
So far, the identity of the person who made that comment, supposedly a member of the minority caucus is being closely guarded.
