Beatrice Annan a presidential staffer has said that the former Attorney General Godfred Dame is a total embarrassment to all lawyers.
According to Beatrice Annan, she is scandalised, to hear that Godfred Dame actually had the temerity to come out to talk about the issue of the nolle prosequi.
She asserted that Godfred Dame would go down in the history of Ghana as an Attorney General who brought no honour to the office.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana, Beatrice Annan stated, “I was very scandalised, to hear that Godfred Dame actually had the temerity to come out to talk about the issue of the nolle prosequi, as we have been discussing over the past weeks.
If there is any Attorney General, who never carried himself, with the grace and honour, that an Attorney General should carry himself with it is Godfred Dame, he would go down in the history of this country as an Attorney General who brought no honour to the office, in fact, he was a total embarrassment to all lawyers”, she added.
Beatrice Annan further reitereted, “I was shocked that Godfred Dame could actually have the temerity, to speak, I don’t even know how to describe this, it shows you the level of impunity, and the level of low standards we have had to deal with in the last 8 years”.
The presidential staffer further described Godfred Dame as a dishonest person who should have never been Attorney General.
She added, “Godfred Dame is a very dishonest person and should not have been Attorney General in the Fourth Republic, they have practically not only messed up the judicial system but even the business climate because of a lot of unethical practices the court became like a safe heaven where it did not matter the merit of the case, he was so comfortable, whether by calling Judges on phone, by visiting Judges in their offices or doing things which we as legal practitioners were actually very new and novel to us”.
Beatrice Annan further stated that all the cases Dr Dominic Ayine has filed a nolle prosequi for were politically motivated cases.
“All the cases Dr Ayine has entered a nolle prosequi for are politically motivated cases, I can understand when people say it is just you wanting to clear NDC people, I got nothing with anybody wanting to clear NDC people”, boldly added.
