The Deputy National Communication Director for the NPP and former Head of Corporate Communications at Ghana Gas, Ernest Owusu Bempah, has shared a video of him returning to Ghana after claims that he was on a run.
According to some Ghanaians, Ernest Owusu Bempah has fled the country and currently hiding after being discovered in the United States over fear of being scrutinized over corruption-related activities.
In an 18-second video shared by Peace FM online, Ernest Owusu-Bempah was captured at the Airport proving to Ghanaians he is not on the run from the NDC government.
In an earlier interview on Okay FM on Monday, February 10, 2025, Ernest Owusu Bempah noted that where he is is no one’s business and he is not afraid of anyone.
He asserted that he does not fear anybody and owes no one any explanation or accountability and that he is not obligated to disclose his current location.
Speaking in a Zoom interview on Okay FM on Monday, February 10, 2025, Ernest Owusu Bempah stated, “I haven’t fled, who am I afraid of? The NDC was in power we demonstrated against them. Do you understand, where I am is no one’s business?
I’ve been travelling since before the NPP took office, those craziness things that they have been sitting in Ghana saying, some people are block-minded”.
Ernest Owusu Bempah revealed that he has been travelling since he was 17 years old.
He added, “If I am in government and I have something to do and I have my money to travel, when I was a kid at the age of 17 when I was travelling somebody in Ghana would be saying crazy things why did I travel, and today that I am a political figure….
Me I am running, if they say those who are going to run, those running away from Ghana do I look like one of them? What can they do to me? Is there a coup in Ghana?”, he added.
