Edward Bawa reassigned as GOIL CEO

Edward Bawa has been reassigned by President John Dramani Mahama who was recently appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) to Group CEO of GOIL.

Edward Bawa was appointed to head GNPC on January 16, 2025, but has now been relocated.

The new GOIL CEO served as the Member of Parliament for Bongo Constituency from 2017 to 2025.

Edward Bawa has a Bachelor of Education in Chemistry from the University of Cape Coast and a Master of Business Administration in Business Finance from the University of Liverpool, and formerly assisted as the Head of Communication for the World Bank’s oil and gas capacity-building project.

Meanwhile, no reason has been given for Edward Bawa’s reassignment as GOIL CEO.
