The immediate past finance minister Dr Amin Adam has revealed that the now finance minister Dr Ato Forson was a pain in the neck.
According to Dr Amin Adam, a person like Ato Forson being a pain in the neck is important to have and promise to do the same forcefully.
Speaking in an interview on JOY NEWS Dr Amin Adam stated, “Hon Ato is my good friend we worked together, and we have a good relationship, he was my ranking member on the finance committee and being a ranking member certainly, he was a very important stakeholder even when I assumed office as finance minister.
He was the minority leader, and trust Ato he would always debate on the economy, but if I had to access him, of course to a large extent he was, but it is important if you have people like that which I intend to be in this parliament”, he added.
Dr Amin Adam promised to hold Ato Forson and the whole government accountable.
He added, “I promise to do the best I can, to hold him accountable, and to hold the whole government accountable for their management of our public finances, and the management of the economy, I will do that forcefully.
Ghana needs a strong opposition to ensure that the government does not toil, with our lives, so that the government keeps track particularly the gains we have handed to them so they do not deviate from that”, Amin Adam boldly stated.
