Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister for Foreign Affairs has accused the members of the minority caucus of targeting him in the vetting chaos.
According to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, As soon as he entered, he was greeted with hostilities.
He added that it became clear to him that he was the target of the vetting chaos.
Appearing before the investigative committee probing the vetting chaos, Ablakwa narrated, “What I saw was a degeneration into violence, destruction of property. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with hostilities. It was clear to me that I was the target. They did not want to have me vetted that day,”
“If you look at the schedule advertised and published, the media had copies. You had some of the persons here who were even taken ahead of me. For example, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe. He was supposed to come after me, but they had no difficulty bringing him ahead of my vetting”, he added.
He further revealed that nobody gave him any information that the Health minister nominee would be sworn in before him.
“Nobody gave me any information. Even Hon. Akandoh, who was to be sworn in before me, has just confirmed that he was supposed to appear the next day. But he was suddenly called to come ahead”, he added.
