Ghanaian media personality and broadcast journalist, Paul Adom-Otchere has quizzed the Special aide to President Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari.
According to pro-NPP station Movement TV Joyce Bawa in opposition used ‘cocoa sacks’ as bags but today she uses expensive Louis Vuitton bags.
Paul Adom Octhere noted that Joyce Bawa has now handed over his bag to a young lady after Ghanaians started comparing her bag in opposition and now in government.
Adom Otchere quizzed Joyce Bawa about why she had handed her bag to the young lady after all she said about the former second lady Samira Bawumia.
Speaking on one of his episodes on Good Evening Ghana, Adom Octhere stated, “There is another video, I don’t know whether it is true it has to do with the bag, they said that now because they talked about a bag and because we all talked about it, she handed over the bag to another person.
In this video, you will see Joyce Bawa arriving, madam Joyce beauty with brains they say, the lady in the shadow, appears to be carrying two bags, Joyce Bawa has now handed over the bag to somebody to carry. I don’t know whether it is the taxpayer who is paying her or Joyce Bawa is paying the person herself”, he narrated.
Paul Adom added, “Joyce, you cannot do that, now you are giving the bag to somebody to carry, are you afraid to carry the bag, the kinds of things you said about Samira when you were saying Samira was holding the bag you didn’t know that a time will come that you would be so afraid to hold a bag”.
The Broadcast Journalist further revealed that he does not have any problem with Joyce Bawa’s bag but the terrible politics and the kind of campaign the NDC ran will be measured by that.
“When you do bad politics this is what happens, terrible politics, the bag is for you, why are you running away, didn’t Tamakloe say you have practised law for 20 years and you can afford the bag, why are you running away, I don’t have any issues with your bag but the kind of campaign that you run, is the kind of campaign that that you will be measured”, Adom Otchere added.
Paul Adom Otchere further descended on Joyce after she threatened to sue Ghanaians talking about her buying a government car in 2017 for GHS14,700.
Speaking on one of his episodes on Good Evening Ghana, Adom Octhere detailed, “ Joyce Bawa, you may be right about a lot of the things you are saying but who are you threatening, who are you taking to court, you bought the car, you sheepishly bought a government car for 14,000 cedis when the cost of the car was 160,000 cedis you go and buy it as 14,000 cedis you are telling us you would take us to court.
Go to the court, you owe Ghana, I don’t owe Ghana, you have stolen the people’s car, it is for the people, you bought it for 14,000 cedis because you said STC says you should buy it”, he added.
Adom Otchere added, “You are suffering from a deficit of morality, you don’t have the moral right to comment about anybody you took the taxpayers’ money to your house for 14,000 cedis when it should have been for over a hundred thousand and ORAL is talking about people who have to collect Cantoments lands for 150,000 instead of this.
Joyce Bawa you should go to ORAL, ORAL investigate Joyce Bawa let see whether he has the moral right to acquire the vehicle Operation Recover All Loots 14,700. Joyce Bawa come again you are not more Ghanaian than anybody, relax you have won an election but you are not more Ghanaian than anybody else”, Adom Otchere added.
Meanwhile, Joyce Bawa Mogtari in a post on X has revealed that the valuation of the vehicles she bought was done by the STC.
She asserted that leading members of the NPP have targeted her out of frustration and constantly thrown accusations at her.
She wrote, “My adherence to law and service to Ghana is buttressed by the fact that I have not been the subject of any investigation or complaint regarding the acquisition of the said vehicle”.
Valuation of vehicles is done by STC and as the experts, they have their established criteria for conducting valuations on vehicles so it is completely out of place for anyone to attack me for the price of the vehicle when the real questions should be directed at STC to lay bare the parameters for conducting valuations to determine prices of vehicles”, she added.
