Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo has described former President Akufo-Addo as the greatest president the African continent has ever seen.
According to him, Akufo-Addo’s contributions as Ghana’s president during his tenure is unmatched on the continent.
He described the former President as a visionary beyond his time, with his influence going beyond Ghana to benefiting the continent.
Kofi Akpaloo pointed to the fact that Ghanaians as at now do not recognized the former President’s impact to the country, while he is celebrated by many on the African continent.
“Akufo-Addo has done extremely well in the 8 years he was in power. Let me say this here, we have never seen a president like Akufo-Addo on the continent Africa. What Akufo-Addo has done for this country, Ghanaians will not know and appreciate it. But within those 8 years, he put Ghana full throttle. He’s done extremely well.”
Speaking about the 24-hour economy proposed by President John Mahama, he indicated that although the policy is a commendable one, it already exists.
The 24-hour Economy is a deliberate policy intervention promised by the NDC/Mahama government to encourage and support certain businesses and companies to operate 24/7, preferably in a three-shift system of 8 hours each, by creating an enabling environment that promotes productivity, competitiveness and well-paying jobs.
