Bernard Ahaifor the Chairman of Appointment Committee of parliament has revaled the minority leader Afenyo Markin told him he was under pressure from the NPP.
According to Bernard Ahaifor, he does not know why Afenyo Markin told him he was under pressure probably many because of the pace of the vetting process.
Speaking in exclusive interview with TV3, Bernard Ahiafor detailed, “I don’t know what has changed, I was highly surprised, so I was even asking the minority leader, you previously spoke to me that Kwabena Mintah Akandoh can be taken and that he personally reach out to you that he wants to be taken that evening, based on the fact that he has brought people, for Joaboso to Accra, so he pleaded”.
“I can tell you his answer, that he is under pressure from the his party, probably maybe actually the speed we are going, probably his party… that is what I can deduced his party is not comfortable with it, I wouldn’t know why he would be under pressure”, he added.
