27 year old mobile money vendor, identified as Patricia Nimako, has been robbed and killed at Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The tragic incident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, February 13, 2025.
According to reports, the armed robbers made away with a sum of GHC 10,000 and a mobile phone.
The deceased is said to have gone to the bank and returned around 3pm when the two suspected armed robbers on a motorbike approached her shop under the pretext of cashing out but rather robbed and shot her.
From the incident, it is suspected that the robbers trailed her from the bank and took the opportunity to rob her when the opportunity presented itself.
A unit committee member of the area, Kwabena Owusu narrated people quickly rushed to her shop after hearing the gunshot only to find her in a pool of blood.
She was pronounced dead after she was rushed to the Manhyia Government Hospital.
“I believe the perpetrators will be brought to Justice once the police have begun investigations into the incident.” he said.
